Karen, I have made these several times this past year and have used whatever oats I have, usually old fashioned. I did not even blend them up and the Fudgy Wudgies came out wonderful still. Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. and Carvel® Ice Cream have teamed up once again to bring you Fudgie the Beer! Replace the brownies or fudge.Make this ice cream with chocolate cookie pieces, Oreo pieces, leftover pieces of chocolateor vanilla cake, or edible cookie dough. This way, the fudgy brownies and fudge swirl aren’t overwhelmed by any additional chocolate or heavy eggs. Rather, they shine through in every bite of the rich chocolate ice cream.

For someone who is not particularly fond of peanut butter, these were surprisingly good! And they are sooo easy to make.
