I think you're right, JeepersCreepers, prep is everything - it took longer than painting! I also recommend a decent brush. I also think you're right in that it may be one of those regular jobs - oh well! Hopefully it'll do me for a few years. Polytrol has a theoretical coverage rate of 18m2 per litre, Actual coverage will vary depending on application method, type, texture and porosity of the surface. Do not use Polytrol on white surfaces. Polytrol is designed to restore colour pigments, so using on white will not work. If you have prepped the surface and applied the Polytrol correctly but see next to no improvement, unfortunately, the pigments may just be too damaged to restore. If the surface treated has been exposed to many years of harsh UV rays and weathering, there is a chance that even Polytrol cannot restore it. When do I need to re-apply Polytrol?
