The storyline is entertaining with good use of rhyming language and the drawings are just brilliant. Angelica’s small chums are enchanted by the contents which include mice, cheese, hankies, frying pans, umbrellas and much more.

All my grandchildren love it even the older ones, and it makes the perfect present for self reading or being read to. Each print is hand stamped with Quentin’s ‘90th birthday’ logo and hand embossed with the Official Collector’s Edition seal. As always, Blake's familiar - but ever fresh - illustrations are packed with energy, humour and detail.

He has won many major prizes for illustration, including the Kate Greenaway Medal (1980) and the Red House Children's Book Award (1981) for Mister Magnolia.

Angelica Sprocket's Pockets’ is one of nine Official 90th Birthday Collector’s Edition Prints, celebrating Quentin Blake’s 90th Birthday, Friday 16th December 2022, from his Official publishers, Aquarelle Publishing Ltd.

Each illustration is beautifully presented on heavyweight 315gsm cotton rag paper in an attractive off-white double mount complete with Artist Information, Certificate of Authenticity and is individually numbered and hand embossed as an authentication of quality. He is also the winner of the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration and in 1990 was voted 'The Illustrator's Illustrator' by Observer Magazine. He has won many prizes, including the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration, the Eleanor Farjeon Award and the Kate Greenaway Medal, and in 1999 he was appointed the first Children’s Laureate. Limited to a production of 90 and numbered in pencil but not signed, this print is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity, and is presented in a double bevelled conservation mount.

During his time in the role, he celebrated children's books and children's book illustration with a range of projects and exhibitions, and conceived the idea for the House of Illustration, the world's first centre dedicated to the art of illustration in all its forms.
