A lot of praise has to be given to her adoptive parents: they have been wonderful with her and other adopted children. The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged.This is reiterated in Ch 31, and yet in Ch 32 (only 3-4 pages later) she talks about how "hard" acting was, and that she couldn't hide how she felt on a given day.
