About this deal

I would like to thank Rachel Renee Russel and her children Erin and Nikki and the narrator Jenni Barber for all their hard work that I wished that I met them in real life one day and it would make me happy and my life. As always, Russell delivers a funny yet plot-twisting story, geared toward children and young teens. It sort of made me wish I had written diary entries when I was the character’s age because what she viewed as OMG! Throughout this story there are pictures and doodles that make the writing appear to be the diary of Nikki's that is talking all about her birthday party planning and execution.

Anyway, on the whole, I think I liked this one better than the last one because even though Nikki whined and complained as much as she always does, there wasn't any huge conflict that made me want to stop reading. She went downstairs and found a mess in the kitchen from Brianna cooking with her sugarplum baking kit.

She still hasn’t decided if she will be spending two weeks in Paris (all expenses paid) or going on tour with her band (you know, totally normal people problems), she’s annoyed by her sister’s culinary mash ups and freaking out about whatever potential disaster may unfold during the birthday party her two best friends are planning for her. The next day, while working on the party invitations, her friends brought really cute invite cards, with over 100 people being invited! Her invitations really caused a whole part to how she must have a birth day party and her friends always interupt. If Nikki and her friends made it through a book without miscommunication causing all sorts of problems I’d be shocked.

And I can see Nikki does kind of whine and doesn't exactly solve her problems like I would or some others might. Back home, while Nikki was making letters to tell the guests that the party was unfortunately canceled, Brianna offers Nikki money to make a site for her business. I haven't read this latest book yet, but five stars already ✌because I am pretty confident that it would not let my expectations down🙃.

sorry Rachel Renee Russell but I feel like you just typed some random crap on a page and hoped for the best. Not saying that Hollister isn't a butt, she is, but still Nikki could have done a lot of different things to prevent all her drama. She’s got a loving family and friends and used to have cute little dramas at school that pretty much anyone could relate to. Chloe, Zoey, and Nikki sneak into the post office and try to find the invitations before it's too late, and guests think the party isn't canceled.

Her friends, Chloe and Zoey, come over to help Nikki plan her party and decide on the theme she wants. Instead of posting an advice letter here in my ASK NIKKI column, I've decided to share another fun PARTY activity. It is the the second Dork Diaries book in which Chloe and Zoey appear on the cover, the first book being Double Dork Diaries. overall, it was okay i mean Nikki is pretty stupid in all of the books and i really liked the different ideas this book had. But of course, she switched to the band and I couldn't help thinking that was the illustrator chickening out of drawing a tourist attraction outside of the Eiffel Tower.

This book is such an incredible book and has to be one of my favourites from the dork diaries collection seeing that I’ve now finally read each and every one of them! I was glad when she chose Paris instead of the band because we would finally get to see the extent of the illustrator's artistic skill.
