About this deal

Points: At the end of the round, the season marker will advance as many squares as there are points on the remaining die. At the beginning of each round a player rolls the dice of seasons. The outcome of the dice may allow the player to: increase their gauge (maximum number of summons you can have in play), harvest resources (water, earth, air and fire are the costs of your summons), exchange resources for victory points, draw cards or just gain straight up victory points. Each player then chooses an individual board. They place that board in front of them and take the four sorcerer tokens of the same color as their indivi- dual boards. The player to the left of the first player becomes the new first player. That player rolls the dice corresponding to the season indicated by the sea- son token on the season wheel. A new round begins.

In the second phase, called the tournament, the players have three years to acquire as many prestige points as they can and thus claim the title of Archmage of the kingdom of Xidit.Seasons is a competitive two to four player game, taking roughly 60 minutes to play. The game is split into the following two phases:

They're eye-catching and colourful, which is very important for keeping young pupils focused and engaged. Each face of the dice is made up of one or more symbols. Each symbol corresponds to an action that a player will be able to take during their turn. From among the dice rolled, the first player chooses one and places it in front of them. I’ve covered the drafting already. Once that is done and you have your nine cards, you have to separate them into 3 piles. In the first year, you get pile 1. You get the other cards in year 2 and 3. This requires a decent amount of planing ahead. I screwed myself in my first game because I didn’t quite understand this mechanic and found myself with some bad cards in year 1. Draw a card: when this symbol is present on the die chosen by a player, that player draws a power card. The player can then keep it in their hand or dis- card it There is no limit to the number of cards a player can have in their hand. Crystallizing the energy (during the current season) to collect crystals. Crystals serve both as a resource to pay for some cards, but also as victory points in the end.Only the power cards numbered 1 to 30 are in play. These cards have easy to grasp effects and will allow you to slowly discover the world of Seasons. The "when entering play" effects: the card's effect trigger only when the card has just been summoned. Example: a two-player game begins between Paul and Lea. During the first round, the season token is placed on space "1" of the season wheel, which indicates that the round takes place in winter. The first player, Paul, then takes the blue dice and rolls them. Choosing Your Season Die Seasons are a really important part of nature for children to understand. They can help us make sense of the world around us and explain why certain changes happen each year. They're also a fun way of helping children learn a bit more about the outdoors, which is important if they're to get plenty of fresh air, exercise and engage with nature.
