Stevia is a natural sweetener that’s derived from the leaves of the South American shrub Stevia rebaudiana. Using brain-scanning technology, scientists at the U.S. National Institute on Drug Abuse were among the first to show that sugar causes changes in people’s’ brains similar to those in people addicted to drugs, such as cocaine and alcohol. These changes often result in heightened cravings for more sugar. Monk fruit is a small melon native to South East Asia. It contains antioxidants called mogrosides (which cannot be found anywhere else) which give it its sweet flavour.

Sugar alcohols (like mannitol, sorbitol, xylitol, lactitol, isomalt, maltitol and hydrogenated starch hydrolysate) To make your own fresh jam, combine four cups of your favorite fruit or berry in a saucepan with ½ cup water.
