Ryder claiming ownership of Syn in some way, trapping her into serving him and as much as I loved Synthia for her defiance and challenge, I hated every time she allowed herself to succumb to him by making careless decisions and leaving herself vulnerable to him. I need to compile a new all time favorites list because there are several I have to add now thanks to this blog.

It’s like, things in the story (the background, the “present”) were obvious to the author… but as if sometimes she forgot to let me in on some facts at times. When she is forced to work with the very thing that brings fear and anger to her to the very core of her being, she is tested in ways she never could have imagined. Oh - did I mention that he is absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae. Critics also widely praised the ability to learn new moves and save them to Controller Pak in the Master Challenge, [7] [11] [13] and the numerous modes and options in general.I am here to tell you it is absolutely NOT… the over-the-top hot-hot chemistry and fantastic dialogue is what I loved about this series.

I am so intrigued with the book and want to know so much what Ryder's secret is that even though I have a pile of books I need to read, I have to read book two right now. Charley Davidson Series, Dark Light,AfterLife Saga, The Captive Series and Mark of the Vampire Series……. Synthia is raised in the Guild, training to be a warrior that will eventually get vengeance for the death of her parents. Synthia always finds herself at Ryder’s mercy and is losing herself and everything she stands for despite the assurances of focus she gives herself on what truly matters.Like, oh hell this was stupid, along with that moment of perfect clarity that this might be the last stupid thing you ever do. The passion between him and Syn is molten, liquifying and red-hot, but feeling something and submitting to her feelings are two different things for Syn because taking that step to burning her barriers and shredding her prejudices might be too big for her. Always had, and would continue to do so, until someone decided they weren’t worth keeping around any longer.

I’ve just started the Dark Light series and my impression is close to yours Maryse about Fighting Destiny…a bit disconnected and the heroine is young and a bit willfully ignorant…and I thought it was a complete series! We get plenty of answers, yet I’m sure there’s more mind-blowing reveals to come as the series continues. I’ve read more paranormal than I care to admit, and the Fever series is beyond a doubt, my number one series. Nook/kindle loaning book section and a spoiler section I just learned about too from a long standing member Ela. Regardless, I really did enjoy it and I am intrigued by the questions we are left with at the end of book one.Synthia Raine Mckenna is a high ranking, highly trained enforcer and an assassin for the Spokane Witches Guild. Ryder's character has to be taken with a pinch of salt, and one must hold out hope that he is the kind of character that is going to go through the most development and evolution because he direly needs it. I knew as soon as I read the warning label that came in the description that I was going to love this book.
