My daughter is now 6 months and to this day we haven’t had an false alarms from this monitor unlike some other leading brands. The sound quality on this monitor is excellent and with the volume up I could hear my baby’s sleepy breathing. When the parent unit is muted its lights clearly flash whenever your baby makes a noise and the lights appeared sensitive to every sound during my testing. It has five blue lights in a vertical line which indicate an escalating scale, with all of them lighting up when the baby is loud.The video quality is usually excellent, but sometimes there are moments when it is not perfect and a little grainy. Not always, and usually, the picture is absolutely fine. The default mode shuts off the screen if your baby is sleeping and only comes on if it detects noise or movement, or if you press to view. However, you can opt to watch your baby continuously, though this rapidly drains the battery on the parent unit.

BT’s Video monitor has a nice large 5-inch screen on the parent unit for you to watch your baby. The picture quality isn’t fantastic. It’s low resolution, so a bit blurry, but good enough to see what your baby is doing and gives a pretty clear view even in low light. The sound quality is excellent and sensitive to the smallest noises. I love this product, really put a first time paranoid mother's mind at ease. Always worked well for us, has been used up to 18 months. We always found a good connection through the monitors and there were never any disruptions. The downfall to this monitor is that it cannot be used without the movement mat without changing settings. Also if my little boy would've got out of his bed it would bleep really loudly, which I guess proved it works but not so suitable when child gets older. Although I thought the monitor was a little expensive and over engineered, the design is really good – it’s an attractive monitor and it does work very well. I think overall, Angelcare do have a really trusted reputation when it comes to monitors and all of their products are attractively designed. The Angelcare AC327 emits more EMF than the competition in this lineup. While the jury is still out on the cumulative effects of EMF on developing systems, we believe less is better and err on the side of caution when we can.
