Kuku delivers right up to the end with a story that seems set apart from the rest of the collection because there isn’t any humor, which carries the bulk of these stories.

Beautiful to note is the simplicity of the language in the book, which makes it an easy read for anyone. The range of stories, ethnicities, and experiences really threw me in for a loop as every story was something new that I could enjoy. While the story was written in a way to shine the light of blame on Nancy for leaving her faithful boyfriend for a life of extravagance being with Femi provided her, Femi shouldn’t come out unscathed.Life is too short to stifle laughter, and Kuku's masterpiece is guaranteed to tickle your funny bone like no other. This part of it, including the extensive use of complex and hard-to-read sentences, would have benefited from good editing. Even her in-laws who know that the marriage only exists because Amos raped her, still accuse her to be a witch who wants to kill her own son. So, if anyone can collate stories about the madness of the men, there deserves to be one revealing the madness of the women.

Anyhow, it still involved the reader in the storyline and made me feel like I was listening to a story from a friend. Undoubtedly these characters represent some real life bad actors but the humor and sharp wit and downright absurdity of this collection raises it to four stars. Even the story featuring gay men follows the same pattern: man and woman fall in 'like' and enter what the woman thinks is a monogamous relationship. When it comes to relationships, you are lucky if you get a happy beginning and a not-so-terrible ending.This book depicts the hazards of attempting to find enduring love and friendship in Africa's wildest metropolis with humour, wisdom, and empathy that will prove universal and informative.

This is collection of short stories, some of which were funny, some were not so funny, and a couple of sad ones in between.

The thrills and suspense, especially the cliff hanger endings of some of the stories had me putting the book away every now and then just so I can chew on what I just read.

Could not for the life of me push through this book, way too many sex scenes that are completely unnecessary,random and forced. The idea that women are the propellers of the madness of nearly all the men in Lagos doesn’t plausibly apply to Stella or Chidubem in ‘Match Made in Heaven’.
