About this deal

Another slight upgrade here is the transfer sheet which (unlike the Recruit Edition) has transfers for Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Space Wolves and the traitorous Dark Angels. Think about it: when you’re trying to spin dice and skip miniatures across a gaming surface, the last thing you want is for a large part of that gaming surface to be taken up with a large and ungainly book. The mid-tier is likely to be the most popular of the new sets as this comes with 2 larger armies now including the Destroyers and the Bikes. I haven’t been able to unfold mine and fit it in my lightbox (as usual), but here’s a picture of it folded so you can get an idea of what you’re getting. Again, the box tray doubles up as terrain, but if you want even more of that, you should check out the Command Edition .

Unfortunately, the sticker is both extremely sticky and very fragile – there’s no way I’m getting this off in one piece, nor without wrecking whatever is hidden underneath. Honestly, for a box designed to be a starter set that is probably a good thing as you want people jumping in as quickly as possible.Still, in spite of all my naysaying, it’s a nice addition and will help new players create a more immersive wargaming experience on their table top, but this likely won’t cut the mustard for more experienced and serious players. These Space Marines, are not the old ones, but rather the new (and larger) Primaris version of a Space Marine. I decided to build five with Flayers and five with Reapers since the datasheet allows you freely mix up what you have. Please note we are counting the connected models as one sprue, for Example, the Lieutenant and the Royal Warden is one Sprue as they come joined.
