There’s a chart in the front that covers the timeline of biblical history. Each section of history is color-coded. The highlights of each section of the Bible are colored to match the timeline. This includes chapter numbers section headings, titles and icons used for the short articles, diamond in the header, and the timeline in the footer. For all Christians, she is a model of humble and obedient submission to God’s will. The NLT Illustrated Study Bible has a lot of information and useful tools. It isn’t filled with color photos just for the sake of color photos. There are plenty of charts, artifacts, places, character studies, timelines, word studies, commentary, articles, and indexes to help with any kind of study. I enjoyed using it and I recommend it to anyone looking for a study Bible in the NLT. It's not heretical, so don't get me wrong, but it does misrepresent what the original texts say in some spots.

The font is 9-point and is about a medium darkness. It’s dark enough to read easily. The only markings in the text is an asterisks to show you there’s a footnote and letters to key to word studies. The text doesn’t feel cramped or have any awkward spaces. Whether finishing college, high school, middle school, or even kindergarten, graduation is a time of transition and change. It is an exciting time that also comes with a bit of trepidation about the future. What’s next? How does this change my relationships? Is the best really yet to come? Change will always be part of our lives, but we can help our loved ones confidently take this next step, knowing they are grounded in the word of the Lord, which will help establish a firm foundation for the exciting adventures to come. It’s the Living Word that gives life, and as much a person spends on the Word, allowing the life to come and work in him or her, that’s how much strength and life is at work inside the inner man.

Other reviewers have mentioned the binding, but I've seen no issues there, but I am very careful with my Bibles, so all I can say there is it was glued correctly when I got it. Some of us have very analytical minds. We are always asking questions, looking for intricate details, and longing to know more. We want to investigate and learn all we can about a situation or a person. There are some amazing study Bibles that can take us deeper into understanding biblical topics and truths, cultural and historical perspectives, and particular Bible books and passages. Change will always be part of our lives, but we can help our loved ones confidently take the next step, knowing they are grounded in the Word of the Lord, which will help establish a firm foundation for exciting adventures to come. These contrasts are a foretaste of things to come. In Jesus, the God of Israel and Lord of all the earth has come to visit and to save his people. The Divine One reaches down to meet them where they are. Throughout Luke’s Gospel, Jesus will show special concern for the lowly, the poor, the outcast, and sinners. These are the ones he has come to See where the events in Scripture happened: More than 150 full color maps and photos as well as 8 newly commissioned illustrations.

Despite a pronounced Fundamentalist perspective in the commentary, I think the NLT Illustrated Study Bible is a really valuable product, especially given the limited range of study Bibles available in the New Living Translation. The tabloid-like graphic design is not really my cup of tea, but it is well executed and fun to look at. I recommend this study Bible. Overview Features When the first church council met to consider the membership of Gentiles in the church, those present followed the Spirit’s direction (15:28). Christian workers such as Stephen and Philip were filled with the Spirit and preached by his power (6:1–8:40), and Paul’s ministry was charged with the Spirit’s energy from the beginning (9:17).
