About this deal

The writing style is fun and exciting, which I feel would be a plus point for young readers. The world-building is fabulous to say the least, and the characters are so so adorable and lovable. And to add an extra feather to the cap, it is illustrated by Chris Riddell. Well, what more can one ask for! Gibbons, who worked as a copywriter at a marketing agency before leaving to focus on her career as a children’s author, added: “Being published by HarperCollins and working with Chris Riddell is a dream come true – not just for grown-up Fran, but for my 12-year-old self. That’s how old I was when I first had the idea for the story. I still can’t quite believe that it’s going to be read by other children – and maybe a few adults too.” Insomma, una lettura che va bene assolutamente per un pubblico dai dieci anni in su ma che consiglio anche a chi come me ha la sindrome di Peter Pan. Inoltre oltre alla storia semplice e scorrevole, le illustrazioni sono una vera gioia per gli occhi.

Ja, wie soll ich anfangen. Mich hat das Buch sehr überrascht! Warum? Naja das Buch wird ab 10 Jahren empfohlen, leider muss ich dazu sagen das ich es persönlich ziemlich brutal finde und das das ganze Buch durch. Die körperliche und Seelischen Qualen die in der Geschichte vorkommen. Ich finds nicht angebracht. Ab 13/14 je nach Kind ist es Ok. Aber für Kinder ab 10 Jahren.. Sorry no! This was a really good sequel that I found to be better than the first book, it was more darker and suspenseful! For younger readers this does have mentions of murder, drowning, monsters, and kidnapping, but I found it thrilling to the story. The world is creative with flavours of Eastern Europe, described in smooth and easy storytelling to understand.When the girls escape from a boring afternoon with Grandma into the teahouse gardens, they find a door in a giant tree trunk and enter the magical Kingdom of Yaroslav.

The children become pawns in a continuing game of greed, treachery, lies, murder and deceit within this once harmonious place. Although Miro’s loyalty to his uncle keeps him ignorant of what he really is, the truth remains ugly. On the next level will be a choice of two areas. Proceed north of the elevator and step on one of the two buttons, it doesn’t matter which one. We stood on the right one first because we’ve been doing left first all the way through this walkthrough so let’s live a little and shake things up! Northern Hemisphere Stars

Questo secondo volume si presenta, a parere mio, anche migliore del primo e molto meno introduttivo, perdendosi principalmente nella narrazione delle vicende dei personaggi. Miro, Imogen and Marie embark on a quest which tests their courage and friendship, with each character learning important lessons about themselves which change their outlook and behaviours. They learn to take responsibility for their own actions. They identify values they expect others to demonstrate and they consider whether they are living those values themselves. By the end of the story, we see that these children have transformed in numerous ways, becoming much more likeable characters. We want them to succeed and find happiness. Grapple over to the room on the left and proceed into this next little puzzle area. There will be a movable cube with a ladder on the front and also some enemies too. Take out the enemies and then move the cube so it opens a series of gateways and switches.

The Shadow Moth is about the importance of questioning the stories we’re told (including the stories that we tell ourselves). Use the Big Dipper to find the North Star or Polaris. The 2 outer stars of the Big Dipper – Dubhe and Merak – point towards the North Star. To find it, draw an imaginary line connecting the 2 stars, which are also known as Pointer Stars or Pointers, and extend it into the sky. This line will pass through the North Star.It's been a while since I have enjoyed a book so much. It reminded me a lot of Philip Pullman's Northern Lights trilogy. Miro is a young prince and they find refuge in his castle. His land is ruled by his uncle, King Drakomor, who is in charge until the young prince comes of age and becomes king. Drakomor is a foolish man, obsessed with possessions and gathering treasures in the castle. He falls in love with an evil woman who wants to be queen.

Personal growth occurs in the girls as they discover a strength and resilience which otherwise they would never have known on the other side of the door. They are also transformed by the quest they undertake up the fierce mountain to the Maudree Kral, leader of the skret, and the only one who can guide them to the door of return. On the third floor, there’s not a whole lot to see but the Watchmaker is up here, along with a Wheels table. We can’t challenge him unless you’ve defeated other Wheels players, so ignore that for now. More importantly, the Watchmaker will hand over the Master Key. Just like that, with no fuss. What a bonus!
