About this deal

My current moisturiser is fine for everywhere else, but a separate eye cream is definitely still on the list. Interestingly, there's also a small amount of Salicylic Acid, a BHA, which I personally like in my skincare products as an exfoliatant and anti-acne ingredient. Like the Leontopodium Alpinum Meristem Cell Culture, which is key ingredient for the Drops of Youth line *sigh*.

One more thing: the water used in cosmetics is purified and deionized (it means that almost all of the mineral ions inside it is removed). It’s so perfect for those days after a late night and although it’s too early to tell yet, I am hoping it’s helping reduce the more permanent fine lines and wrinkles too. It's still quite thin though - unlike a typical gel product, you can't really dab this on with your finger. The Youth Cream, despite its name, isn't a traditional cream in the sense that it isn't heavy or thick or oily. It's the most lightweight product in the range, and the least emollient, so if you do use multiple items from the range, this should go on first.

I think this is in part due to the fact that the Youth Concentrate is a bit more emollient in formula. Known to retain up to 1000X its weight in water, it helps to keep skin looking plump with moisture and feeling soft and smooth. Whether you simply haven’t slept that well, taken a red eye, or watched Netflix all night, make room in your medicine cabinet for this one. Part of me wants to believe not until I started following this popular Filipino dermatologist on Twitter. The range is a brilliant choice for skincare addicts after protection from environmental damage and bouncy, hydrated skin without the spend demanded by luxury products.

It was the first synthetic polymer introduced as a hair fixative in the 1950s instead of insect-derived Shellac. I’m in love with it, I’m seeing good results, less puffiness, dark circles are fading off and smoother, firmer skin! Because of the lightweight texture of the product, this might not be suitable for people who have dry undereye areas, or who prefer thicker, more occlusive eye creams.

Once I’d worked that out I applied the formula in a sideways figure of 8 shape around the contours of my eyes, patting the area just lightly to help in any excess formula absorb into the skin. In the case of the Drops of Youth range, despite my concerns about alcohol, the range as a whole feels moisturizing, and didn't dry out my skin.

If you’re looking for a good eye serum to help hydrate the dry skin, or to prevent the signs of age from coming on, I’d recommend this as a good starter item.
