About this deal

A household name for more than two decades and a career at ABC spanning over 30 years, Ripa has welcomed viewers with her sharp wit every morning as the host of the award-winning Live franchise. I didn't really know much about Kelly Ripa aside from watching a handful of episodes with her and Regis on Live, back in the day, so I don't think I'm the right audience here.

Kelly's disparaging "Regis comments" show that Kelly never learned that it's poor taste to discredit a mentor, especially when this mentor is dead and can't defend himself/herself. I’ve never disliked her, but aside from occasionally enjoying her on the various incarnations of Live over the years, she’s never evoked strong feelings from me either way.

I also would have liked to read some "short stories" about Kelly's behind-the-scenes moments at "All My Children" and "Live". As the danger level rises, he pulls in Windsor (Win) Horne Lockwood, III, his preppy-looking friend who is a sixth-degree black belt holder in Tae Kwon Do.Ljudboken läser Eagleman upp mycket entusiastiskt vilket gör det hela till en mycket trevlig och framförallt spännande lyssning. We also see some aspects where the initial plasticity locks in, restricting future development if children haven't, for example, developed language skills by a particular stage.

Some chapters were entertaining and provided some good behind the scenes perspective but others were just too wordy and not that good of a story.

It's as if she wants to burn bridges (even saying how much she hates going in to do the talk show every day) but she doesn't have the guts to fully start the flames. Livewired" is the catchy term David Eagleman has coined to describe the miraculous ability of the brain to adapt in concert with its environment and make sense of the world. If there is a silver lining for Myron, it is that he finally meets his fifteen-year-old nephew, Mickey, for the first time. I learned that her and Regis really had beef apparently and reconfirmed (again and again) that she’s deeply attracted to her husband.

Because it was written as short essays, I found myself thinking, “just one more chapter, and suddenly it would be three more instead. Surprising, at times savage, a little shameless and always with humor… Live Wire shows Kelly as she really is offscreen—a very wise woman who has something to say. Because what actually happened to Matthew was that with intensive rehab, the remaining half of his brain adapted itself to take over the missing functions of the other half.
