Ive said to the Android Box people I will be back in touch once I get the apps on tv working back at full functionality as im fairly certain sorting tv will likely sort whats going wrong with the Android Box Problem too. I've set up a Windows Batch script using the Speedtest CLI to run regular speed tests to the same server on an Intel NUC that just happens to be in the room with a suitable window. Huawei B818 was introduced two years ago but recently, Huawei supplied this new 4G wireless router to the market and some network providers. Worth noting that EE have reduced their fair usage policy to 600GB down from 1000GB, had a letter as i regular exceeded 1000Gb with a family of 5 might have to move back to Three although the kid moaned about rubber banding in games with three.

All the while of these problems, the Download/Upload Speed is excellent with EE (80mbps 4g DL and 10mbps UL) and signal shows 4 bars so is good too. I'm going to create some graphs, and see how things look on there, it's would be nice if the Speedtest CLI allowed you to link the speed test results to an account, but like the Android and Windows Apps I don't this is possible. I've also tried factory resetting the router from menu settings and it says router will restart as if its doing something, and does actually restart the router, but on completion the complicated password has remained in the routers memory so it's the most weird factory reset on the planet if it only sprinkles round the edges doing it, ie I don't think it actually did anything apart from restart the router. Only later did I read this message on a forum (sorry it's in italian) and I imagined that the problem was not having loaded the new webui 11.

It could point to a problem with EE, but if you say it behaved the same 12 miles away then it could be the router, perhaps a faulty firmware update. OPTUS are so far being fawkward (delib) not helping, and Huawei referred me to Optus, I don't suppose you can assist please with where i can find a firmware upgrade for the B818-263(Base link to site as opposed to direct link for router should be satisfactory providing it is on the site under expected router name). The B818 is by far the newest and fastest LTE router in the Huawei product range, with LTE Cat19 delivering speeds of up to 1.

I also tried to do the same thing by selecting previous firmware + webui, but nothing, the router does not seem to pick up the procedure I launch via Multicast at all. A couple of differences have come to light between the vanilla Huawei device and the Optus branded one. But for me, someone who just needs to plug it in, get assigned an IP, and who wants the quickest speed then the Huawei is perfect.

Instead of resetting your router back to factory settings, you may want to try running our Router Password Finder first.

I have heard of issues with “double NAT” and my limited understanding is it is a problem caused by both the 4G router and Orbi assigning an IP address to devices connecting to the network. So far I've had the same IP, the modem set it's self up with the 3internet APN which apparently results in a public IP address and no NAT at Three's end. The Huawei B818-260 supports all the popular LTE frequency bands in Europe and Asia: Band 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 32, 38 and 42. webui file, I started the procedure described, but the blue bar on Multicast scrolls and restarts indefinitely and the router does not seem to receive the files (even after hours).

In our tests with three mobile and EE we got 18Mbps download with 3mobile SIM and 84Mbps download with our EE SIM, and the EE and Three base stations are a fairly similar distance away from us, but we always find EE the fastest, but if course EE dont provide any unlimited 4G data plans! Even the Huawei B818 can provide high LTE and WLAN speeds for daily use, but probably only for the fewest users. Can I get the EE firmware (giving an EE splash on the GUI) to download anywhere so I can change over?
