About this deal

The Korean VHS/DVD does not contain any of the UK or US company logos; instead, it only had DVD Acadamy's logo. For some reason, on some digital prints of the film in the United States, the first eleven seconds of the Destination Films logo are cut off and the Samuel Goldwyn Films logo plays instead, despite them having no involvement in the film's production or distribution. The only time until the seventeenth series where all the engines aside from Thomas, Percy, and Toby have headlamps, albeit only used on the night scenes. Thomas, Terence and the Snow - A deleted scene of Thomas passing a signal with Annie and Clarabel while wearing his snowplough.

This is the longest Thomas & Friends production ever made, running at 85 minutes (1 hour and 25 minutes) in the final cut. The film was shot in a 4:3 fullscreen frame and later matted into a 1.85:1 widescreen image for theatrical release; the UK DVD as well as the film on Sprout and Starz airings was rendered in full frame as a letterboxed widescreen image. Models of Thomas and Percy were built by David Eves during 1996. The models were made from brass unlike the previously plastic models of the show. The model of Thomas would later be used in some music videos produced during the fifth series. A model of the station Cronk was built, a station previously never seen before in the show.

However places from this movie have been featured on Sam Wilkinson's 2014 map of Sodor and Diesel 10 has appeared since the movie. Edward was never featured in any script of the film. In the scene where Splatter and Dodge ask Diesel 10 why he let Mr. Conductor escape, Cranky would have dropped a crate of fruits and vegetables on them.
