About this deal

Although these came out back in July, and it is now heading towards October, I have been holding back on reviewing them for two reasons. I’m just going to throw it out there that the Bourjois Delice De Poudre was one of the very first bronzing powders that I bought and that was around 10 years ago. Noted that this is a slightly shimmery bronzer - it do not offer much favour in adding depth or shadow to your cheekbones but, I think it is a good sun-kissed bronzer or blush on those days you want to keep your makeup look at minimal. Its subtly iridescent formula is enriched with flecks of gold for a radiant but non shiny healthy bronzed glow. Bourjois have a high quality product range, each product is carefully designed to make them easy to use and a pleasure to carry in your handbag!

I do remember it be quite muddy on my skin tone, until I moved to Mallorca and it became one of my daily essentials. This is talked about so much in Tanya Burr's Youtube videos, and I've always liked the chocolate layout, as you said. For me, pigmentation on this product its just medium; if you want more of a darker effect, you need to layer it up. Providing all women across the world professional products that are tasteful and easy to apply, without breaking the bank. There are little specs of gold in the bronzer, but it's tiny, and does not transfer on to skin at all.I have had the original Chocolate Bronzing Powder for years, and now I recently got the bronzer + highlighter chocolate! A brand born into the world of theatre and the performing arts, becoming internationally known over time! The original was very matte, with that amazing chocolate scent and a great alternative to NARS Laguna. The consistency is lovely and silky, but the application was awful, as the bronzer was hard to blend and left me with more of an orange patchy look.

Looks great with a light hand to add a bit of a glow/definition to the face, and also looks equally good if you want to build it up and use it as a contour. I’m not sure how great it is putting very fragranced stuff on your skin, but I’ve had no issues with breakouts or irritation (coming from the girl who is allegedly allergic to her own skin according to her doctor). If you look closely at the product in the pan you can make out tiny golden particles of glitter running throughout the bronzer. I am not completely blown away by this bronzer despite it being highly raved in the beauty community.The texture of all the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzing Powders is like silk, and blending and layering is easy. Before I bought this bad boy, I’d been using the Bare Minerals Warmth All Over Face Colour, which was a fabulous colour, but I did have a few issues with it. My favourite at the moment is a Rimmel Bronzer, it has a nice apricot glow to it which is perfect for winter!

I have heard so much about it on youtube, it looks like a great alternative for Hoola to warm up the skin. While in the pan they look kind of similar, swatched you can see it's warmer toned than Hoola, which will be a bonus for some people who find Hoola too muddy looking.

I also like to use the bronzing powder with my MAC 224 brush to sweep in the socket line of my eye for depth and definition.
