Mind you, it may sound like I’m making fun, but I’m being serious. It’s actually a rather fantastic and helpful consideration. The “Classic” pouch from Bellroy is honestly anything but. Offered up in a bunch of different colorways and materials, from sustainably harvested wood pulp and cotton offcuts to recycled PET bottles, this pouch has a unique look and feel unlike any other material I’ve handled. Couple this with my favorite design accessory for ANY use (magnets!) and you get a pretty solid little pouch that also looks fantastic. When it comes to craftsmanship and tactility, spending more on a tech pouch will get you more premium materials such as leather or felt, to name a couple. The zippers and closures are all but guaranteed to be nicer, too. When hunting down the best tech pouches for your EDC, you should always start with three questions: What are you carrying, how are you going to use it, and what’s important to you? Generally, when we think “tech pouch” we envision a simple pouch with a zipper that’s bursting with random cords, chargers, and accessories.

However, when we hear about a Peak Design Tech Pouch, our ears perk up. If there’s anyone that can take a simple pouch and turn it into something extraordinary…it’s the folks over at Peak Design. And—no surprise—they’ve delivered once again. The Peak Design Tech Pouch does a great job at keeping all of your tech gear in one place, but it goes a bit beyond that by offering some excellent organization plus a bit of rigidity and padding. After testing tech products and dealing with countless cables and adapters for more than a decade, I can personally confirm these products are essential for keeping me sane and organized. I can no longer imagine not having one in my laptop bag. Over the years, I found such accessories to be incredibly helpful in keeping my desk neat, organizing my go-to gear while attending events and traveling, and, best of all, knowing where all my tech essentials are when I need them. We like its compatibility with other Peak Design products, its well-thought-out layout that allows for efficient use of space, and its ability to stand up straight when complete, making the contents easily visible.

Let’s face it, if you’re a member of the Cult-of-Bihn, you probably already have one (or multiple) of these. The HLT keeps the classic “round-ish” Bihn styling with multiple internal and external attachment points for all your bits and bobs. While it’s definitely more of a “misc” pouch than a tech-oriented one, it definitely deserves a second look for anyone needing a “do it all” solution. And the last thing that makes this little pouch so great are the Anchor attachment points on the outside. You can attach any of Peak Design’s additional accessories here—including a strap, which lets you wear this thing as a little messenger bag. When in messenger-mode it’s a little bit bulkier than other slings we’ve tested—like the Aer Day Sling 2 or the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling—but it’ll work in a pinch. We definitely think this addition gets extra points for versatility—since it pulls double duty as a sling and a cube inside of your larger bag. The Peak Design Tech Pouch is an innovative organizer for tech enthusiasts and photographers. It has a thoughtful design and high-quality material, making it a reliable option for keeping your gear organized and easily accessible. I’ve been using this Tech Pouch for a few months now, and I won’t be traveling without it! Even now as I write this, it sits under my table, chewing on a few cables and USB accessories. Although tailored to the MacBook, this laptop sleeve offers a bit of extra space for chargers and dongles as well as some webbing attachment points (not PALS compatible). The main compartment is well padded to protect your laptop or tablet while in transit.

One common concern is the pouch’s size and bulkiness, so it may not be suitable for those seeking a more compact organizer. Many users have recommended that Peak Design creates a slimmed-down tech pouch as an alternative product option. That’s a great idea to give customers a choice depending on their travel needs. Although the pouch excels in organizing smaller items, it may not be ideal for individuals needing larger tech gear. It’s a double-sided pouch for literally everyone reading this because I know that you have that terrible cluster-freak of cables that needs to be tamed. Read this, then get your life together.Despite its small size, the pouch remains relatively rigid. This rigidity ensures your belongings are well-protected, but it also means the bag doesn’t compress easily. This can be viewed as both a pro and a con, depending on how flexible you want your storage options to be. The tech pouch should store your gadgets and items and protect them. You should look for accessories with a durable exterior, a zipper closure, and a soft interior lining. The latter is also essential for protecting your items from scratching. Water-repellent exteriors are also worth keeping an eye out for, especially if you plan to frequently use the accessory while out and about. If life has taught me anything, it’s that you never know when you’ll need to have your toothbrush with you. The Aer Dopp is a relatively compact pouch that may be ideally suited to carry your toiletries, but can easily pull double duty with anything from travel essentials to a compact first aid kit.
