The real growth is on the other side of the coin, as Hazel slowly relaxes into the idea that Josh genuinely doesn’t expect her to apologize for being herself. Some of my book blogging friends haven’t been super in love with Christina Lauren’s books published after Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating and claim that this book is the author duo’s best.

And then Josh was like: I gotta c** so 1) I can jerk off in the bathroom like a weirdo or 2) I can use your orifices. It’s still perfect, my feelings toward this book doesn’t seem to change, it just intensifies each time. That aside, “Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating” was an extremely comical, entertaining, sweet read. and nothing-I mean nothing-scares me more than the idea of us dating and him deciding that I’m too wild, too weird, too chaotic.Definitely add this to your TBR if you're looking for some healthy romance that has equal parts cuteness and steaminess. How am I supposed to believe this guy is some Korean Ken when he sounds like a hysterical Alvin the Chipmunk? I found it to be a bit of a disappointment, but I think that is because I had been building it up and wanting to read it for a long time. Hazel is insistent on becoming Josh’s best friend and getting him back into the dating pool after a bad break-up.

As several of you may know, romance novels are not my go to genre by any stretch of the imagination but when I saw all of the reviews for this I was quite intrigued. A tiny voice reminds me that Josh didn’t bother to blow smoke up my butt and tell me what a lovely place I had.She can’t help but say exactly what’s on her mind the second it pops up and boy does that get her into trouble. Hazel is one of the most fun protagonists I’ve read about, and she and her animals had me laughing constantly. Between their uncaring exes and their new rude acquaintances, Josh and Hazel are all but forced together. And this book is also hilarious like New Girl and just all around giving me New Girl vibes which I loved.
