Virgole mancanti, punti fermi mancanti – tanto che una volta ho trovato l’inizio con la maiuscola senza la chiusura della frase precedente – frasi che s’interrompono senza i tre puntini o anche il trattino, doppi spazi a morire e spazi anche prima dell’inizio di un paragrafo. Ho letto la versione della trilogia intera, non i libri singoli, e capisco che sia un’edizione da poco ma, insomma… un po’ di attenzione in più non avrebbe guastato.

Love love love this book series. And although I know there are a lot of negative aspects about it and that it isn't perfect, I still think it was pretty good. Con la protagonista è riuscito a dimostrare che ha sempre avuto buone intenzioni con lei e con il mondo, smentendo tutto quello che era stato detto su di lui.Since it's Juliette, there was still some (a lot) emotional garbage and reasoning but she eventually found the right guy and the wrong guy turned into DEFINETELY the wrong guy (called it) and even though it ended kind of before the real action probably would have started (what with taking over the world and such) it ended on a good note. He really loves his mom. Warner, seems super harsh and cold-hearted, which he can be, but never ever when it comes to his mother. Warner goes through so much to try to get his mother well and puts her before people’s opinion of him. The first time we see him cry is when his mom died and it was heartbreaking.

Tahereh Mafi is a great author. Seriously, her writing style is amazing and her characters three-dimensional, believable people. Ma non posso basarmi soltanto sui miei sentimenti per Warner. Mi sono interessata soltanto ai pezzi in cui c’era lui. Juliette has never fought for herself before. But when she’s reunited with the one person who ever cared about her, she finds a strength she never knew she had. Which is where I'm going to critize the world building. I get that Juliette apparently wasn't interested in figuring out what exactly was going on with the world and the Reestablishment, but it did feel wrong for her to not ask for proof when Castle told her that the world was, in fact, better off than they thought. Or for her to never again show any interest in why she has the power she's so afraid of.

I knew something was wrong with that kid from the moment he was shoved into Juliette's prison and I don't mean the plot twist in the first book.

To any girl who meets a boy who was "broken" by the way someone in his life treated him, who gets treated horribly by this boy -- run. His brokenness does not make it okay for him to hurt you. His brokenness does not mean that he deserves your forgiveness. There are plenty of people who suffer abuse and do not lash out and abuse the people they "love."

Castle is the father figure. He is the founder of Omega Point, a resistance group in sector 45. Kenji was his first recruit raising him from the time he was 8 after he ran from the orphanage. Castle takes on a huge responsibility for every member of OP and he enjoys his role. He struggles with being a leader and a personable figure taking on too much of everyone's problems, and can't seem to keep things in line with all these new guests.

If you are a fifteen year old girl you’ll like them, but as an adult, I cannot fathom how other grown women can read this and say It’s good. It’s not. It’s wildly immature. I’m not saying this because it’s a YA series, I’ve read PLENTY of YA books that absolutely captivated me. Books meant for a much younger audience even. But these? THESE? Shatter me is the worst series I have ever had the displeasure of reading. They’re immature and childish because the writing doesn’t know how to handle itself. It doesn’t understand who its audience is supposed to be. It doesn’t understand the narratives its taken on. It doesn't understand its characters or plot. Questa parte della storia si merita cinque stelle solo per il personaggio di Warner. Ha detto delle cose che mi hanno fatto perdere la testa… La caratterizzazione del suo personaggio è ben fatta e cattura l’attenzione. Anche quella di Adam è una buona caratterizzazione, ma è noiosa, non incisiva come quella di Warner. E alla fine ho capito perché al protagonista maschile non è stato dato un corpo sostanzioso, perché non era lui il vero protagonista maschile. Mafi did a fantastic job at relaying the fact that Juliette is… troubled in the head at the start of the book. the numbers the repetitive thoughts the contradicting thoughts—sometimes all at once—was a very good idea. the crossing out of words/sentences to show how she’s at odds with herself was cool too. I just really liked it. It read fast. It’s original. It reignited a fresh desire in myself to write with creative intent, not just to get the point across. Although he is protective of Juliette and would risk himself and give up his life for her, he knows she can take care of herself and respects how strong and powerful she is. He has full confidence in her and reminds her how capable she is all the time. Parto dal presupposto che con tutte le parole del mondo io lo stesso non riuscirei a farvi comprendere pienamente quanto abbia amato questa storia.the characters are amazing, they are super funny and have a lot of personality, you will fall in love with them. The rest of the book is kind of a blur because I read all three one after the other and can't seperate them anymore (thank Goodreads for this three book thingy). Unfortunately you cannot sell a multi book series for the premise of a love interest while forgetting everything else in the series needs attention to detail as well. Well, I guess you can, but it’s going to receive a scathing review from me. But the worst thing of all is the fact that abuse is lauded as romantic in these novels. Warner may hurt Juliette and be forgiven for it time and time again all because, beneath his terrible acts, his motives are supposedly based in the fact that he loves her. Nevermind that time and time again his love is portrayed as selfish and only insofar as she benefits him. Vogliamo parlare del fatto che in un fantasy dove le battaglie sono all’ordine del giorno far terminare uno scontro in tre pagine è assurdo? Ma del resto da una prima persona presente non si può chiedere praticamente niente. Siamo gli occhi di Juliette e basta, il resto è fuffa. Volevate sapere come se la sono cavata Warner e gli altri? Attaccatevi al tram, non lo saprete mai.
