About this deal

I did have somethings in common with Sophia. In a part of the story he sister used to sneak out and she thought Sophia never knew, I went through the same thing with my older sister. My least favorite thing in the book is how many people are judged by their race and there were many secrets kept between everyone. My favorite passage in the book was when Sophia helped her sister in something important to her. In verse 18, it’s almost as if Jesus wants to clear up any doubt and confusion. He’s essentially saying, “I am Jesus, I have all authority, and I have a mission for you!” They worshiped and some doubted. I believe that after Jesus gave the commission, the “some” that doubted probably crossed over to the “they” that worshiped! Church, some of us need to move from the “some” to the “they.” We need to trust Jesus, be moved by the authority of Jesus, and be unleashed for the mission of Jesus! Today is the end of the book. Today, we learn what Jesus left us with before He left the earth to be with the Father in heaven. Church, it all comes down to this. Meanwhile, a man has returned to the island seeking a home, staying at the home of an old friend. He wants to buy the sister’s family cabin. But he shares a history with one of them, and it won’t be working in his favor.

That theme of Jesus, God’s fulfilled promise, being with us continued. In Matthew chapter 1, Jesus is Immanuel, “God with us.” In the last words of Matthew 28, Jesus says, “ I am with you always, to the end of the age.” There’s not really much going on in the terms of plot. It’s more of a domestic slice-of-life story. These three sisters have very complicated relationships with one another. Each sister has painted a slightly skewed picture of their life to the other two. There are hidden truths, deceptions, and secrets, but each one remains hopeful for change in their future.Romantic and other dilemmas reach flagged-up conclusions in a novel whose destination is gratification. It could have been tighter — but if you go with the flow — there are plenty of micro tales to enjoy. I had both the Kindle book and the Audio book. I really like reading this way. The narration by Barrie Kreinik was done very well. Reading the book allows me to absorb all the writing and highlight passages that I thought presented the book’s message.

Three sisters, a mother who dies early on in this story, and the grief that follows. Grief for the loss of their mother, but also finding out that their mother had determined that the summer cottage that has fond memories, along with everything else, is to be sold, with each receiving one third of all proceeds.

Having read Therese Anne Fowler’s last novel A Good Neighborhood, I was eager to read her new novel It All Comes Down To This. It added to my interest to learn it was set in Maine, and when I opened up the book was thrilled to read it’s set on Mount Desert Island. On our first visit there, staying at Acadia National Park, we fell in love and returned year after year.
