This is significant because Choso was going to kill Yuji after defeating him when he received the vision that caused him to turn around and save his life. This is the vision we spoke about before; as a result of that vision, Choso was convinced that Yuji was his sibling. Choso, a brotherly figure protective by nature, naturally switches sides and decides to spare Yuji and soon join him completely to shield him from danger.

The relationship between Choso and Yuji Itadori is a complex one. Still, we can confirm that the two of them are siblings, half-brothers to be precise, but the story of how this came to be true is very morbid and shows just how twisted of a villain Kenjaku is. The two of them clashed in Shibuya, and Choso was able to defeat Yuji, but he ended up sparing his life because he had a vision that Yuji was his brother as well, just as he was about to kill him. While Choso was still outclassed by Naoya's speed and suffered a one-sided beating at the beginning of their fight, he managed to tough it out thanks to his physical endurance and unwavering willingness to defend his little brother. Although Naoya managed to injure the Death Painting Womb and slice him open, Choso turned his wound into an advantage and once again overcame Naoya by using different Blood Manipulation moves in a variety of clever ways. It turned out that Choso was right as both his father, Noritoshi Kamo, and Yuji’s mother, Kaori Itadori, were Kenjaku, so – technically – they have one shared parent.
