About this deal

Your article reminded me of the book Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson. It also reminded me of Michael O’Brien’s story, “I Think They Look Cool, Dad,” published in the anthology Dear Gratitude, created by Chris Palmore. In it, O’Brien says: “So slowly, I started to see my scars through a lens of gratitude. They weren’t ugly; they were merit badges that showed I survived something horrific. They were my indication that I was still alive.” He goes on to talk about Kintsugi. It is impossible not to fall under Charlotte Betts’ spell and with Letting In The Light, this very gifted writer has once again written a first class historical novel that will stay with me for a very long time.
