I took the plunge and got some of these. One odd thing I have noticed is the sound on speaker of the alarm and receiver if you listen carefully with one beep you can hear it come on it sounds like a walkie talkie channel if you know what I mean? Easy to set up, four sensitivity options, lowest is a bleep every 3cm and highest is a bleep about every 5mm. if its 20m then its a no go for me. not because i go that far, but my tent is often behind bushes on on an elevation. If the range really is 20m, that means the signal is too weak for my type of fishing.Functions all work well, only criticism are the tones, not brilliant, assuming the speaker is an area they saved money on.

Seriously, You think so? a company that cant give any guidelines to the specifications of their products??? they look like a good deal, I just don't get why fox have brought these out with more features than the mxr It's not about that though. It's the signal strength that is important. You'd be surprised how poorly some perform when there is heavy foliage or other obstructions between the alarms and receiver. Carpology did a youtube video on these alarms on youtube, they mentioned all sorts of features, but not the range. I think this is one on the most relevant things to point out in a video, so the fact that they didn't show this in the video makes me think that it might be poor.... The receiver does look and feel a little cheap, but then again it's not going to be sitting out there in all weather's. My only gripe is the LED's on the receiver could have been bigger and brighter, or have a fish eye lens to enhance them. At the end of the day they are only mid entry alarms.

Seek a set of these on tha Bank on the wind other day and they were none stop beeping even on the least sensitivity. Was very odd as you couldn't even see the indicator moving. Beep beep boop boop beep boop beep beep.

I don’t think there’s a MK1 and 2 version but I had a similar problem, no matter what I tried I couldn’t get one of my heads to pair up. I alternate between my mini microns and my mini micron X, only really using the X if im sleeping as most of my fishing is short sesh.
