About this deal

Taking part in physical activity supports healthy growth and development, whilst providing opportunities for children to develop and learn life long skills. Children need to be active everyday to support a healthy lifestyle and development. You could carry out the Olympic games with friends or siblings or with just your child taking part! Each month a selection of new experiences will be released that will help you to educate your child and prepare them with the safety skills and awareness they need for later life.

Physical experiences encourage children to develop their coordination skills, helping them to control their body movements to perform a task or skill. They support children in being able to use their arms and legs in unison. This is known as bilateral movement. Cross lateral movements are also supported where children are encouraged to cross their midline, for example taking their arm across to the other side of their body.

Supervise children when using scissors and store out of reach. Each Busy Bees centre has had significant investment in physical equipment to encourage your child to be active.

Exploring this sensory dough helps your child learn through their senses and make connections. Counting out the dough supports their early counting skills Invite your child to help you make a start and finish line in your garden; with a couple of pieces of clothing, a tea towel or a piece of garden equipment. Following this, explain that we are going to take part in different races. Be mindful that some stones or shells may have sharp edges. Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling items on the beach Children become aware of their bodies in relation to the space around them. Whilst you encourage your child to explore, test their boundaries and use their imaginations they are learning about risk and how to implement effective control measures to keep themselves and others around them safe. Safety with Buzz will provide you with guidance, experiences ideas and top tips to help you do this.

Encourage your child to crawl to the first item, provide them with sufficient time to explore this.UP and Active with Buzz is a physical programme designed specifically for Busy Bees to support children with their physical skills and development. At the centres, educators have access to a range of physical experiences they can carry out with the children, along with professional reading to support their understanding of physical development. At home, parents are able to access UP and Active experiences to further support their children's gross motor development and fitness. Below you will find a small selection of these experiences!
