We are incredibly impressed with the Speak2 55. The design is far sleeker compared to the original Speak range, however the real difference comes in the sound performance. A true upgrade with a host of cutting edge features coupled with the versatility to perfectly suit a small conference room or a home office. This has everything you want in a compact but portable speaker phone. Along with the USB-A connector, it has Bluetooth. A protective carrying case and lanyard are also included. Initially, it was a little difficult to get my computer to use it as both a microphone and a speaker until I installed the device software – Jabra Direct. Once I had updated the firmware everything ran smoothly and I was able to use it as a microphone and speaker in a range of different contexts. The software didn’t really add much functionality to the device but the firmware update is a must for this device.

I would probably like to be able to toggle the noise cancellation function on and off to use it to record sound. However, it is a beautiful device that is perfectly fit for the purpose of its design. I like how Jabra has redesigned the new models, giving them a sleeker, cleaner look, and all the models include an integrated USB-C cable with a USB-A adapter that allows you to plug the speaker directly into a Mac or Windows PC. The relatively compact Speak2 55 comes with a nice felt carrying case and is fairly lightweight, weighing in at 280 grams (9.88 ounces), making it easy to slip into a bag and carry around for conference calls on the go. While it offers Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, it doesn't come with a USB Bluetooth dongle to plug into your PC for more reliable wireless connectivity with computers.Finally, each Speak2 product is designed to work withall leading virtual meeting platforms, meaning users can participate confidently in calls and meetings from any location, without the worry of poor audio quality or connectivity issues.
