About this deal

I was surprised to see who Maximus's lover was in the book, but I am so excited to see the snippet that I did. It was so interesting to have a heroine who is neuro divergent and experience the world from her perspective such as what it is like to have sensory overload, the need for routine and pattern in life, the difficulty in not understanding nuance in faces and language, the analytical logical approach to life difficulties. Despite all this I actually liked gretas character she’s the only one who I guess felt true to who I thought she would be in hints from previous books unlike the rest of the heroines in the sins of the father.

i'm laughing at the fact that i originally thought this would have tension bc of who Amo and Greta's fathers are and, although it did have some tension, the actual relationship was one of the more sweeter ones of CR's books. When Amo and Greta meet there’s a instant connect between the two and the two secretly steal a few moments together. I’m scared for Sara’s story bc it sounds like something bad went down with the Bratva and Romero/Maximus want revenge. Nonetheless, I’m happy to report that she delivered with amogreta and that this is her best books in years.Especially the dynamics of two families makes this book more and more interesting, draws you in and does not let you put it down. Greta (h) and Amo meet for the first time when Luca and Amo are in Las Vegas to meet with Remo and Co. I was starting to get worried for myself, since my love of BiBC and Cammora, but so far each of the books in this series has been 4 stars for me, not quite 5. Do you mean to say that 12-year-old Greta outsmarted Nino, Remo, Savio, Fabiano and their security staff put together? He treated every mistake as a lesson from which he drew conclusions and was never able to repeat it again.

I loved the contrast between the mechanical way in which she formed her thoughts into words and the cuteness of the objects of her constant worries. Amo and Greta meet at a peace meeting of sorts that goes wrong, when Amo hears Greta dancing and goes to investigate the music. What I was really interested in was how they would miraculously get married and how Amo would miraculously get rid of Cressida.After a recent scandal with A Touch of Fate, I'm fairly positive that Cora freaked out and hired sensitivity readers.

BFIC is probably Cora's angstiest book i've read and Amo is a manho to his wife *cough*, but not at all how he is with Greta!

The more subjective part comes down to the fact that the nice choir boy vibe oozing out of Amo is certainly not the vibe I seek for in a mafia romance.

The idea I had in my head for Amo/Greta’s story and what was actually written didn’t all live up to what I hope it would be. Getting bits and pieces of the Capuleti Falcone and Montecchi Vitiello families gave me a warm nostalgic feeling I still can't shake off. I didn’t know how Cora was going to make this couple work but through everything, it worked out beautifully. It's definitely one of my favorites of the second generation, and I love that Amo and Greta brought together two families for the better, uniting them how Remo and Seraphina being together should have if Chicago wasn't so stubborn and outdated. I loved their interactions, and actually didn't mind the insta-love, I believed that they were meant to be since day one.I also love the fact that we have two strong families headed by the cruelest and best of their kind Capos -Luca and Remo.
