About this deal

The following version of the books were used to create this study guide: Pilkey, Dave, Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas and Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild. Scholastic Inc. New York, New York, 2018. Kindle AZW file. In Dog Man: Grime and Punishment, they say that they were not surprised about Dog Man getting fired. They say he was a terrible officer. The male says he chewed his new phone, while Maude says he pooped in her file cabinet again. They also scold him for making Chief cry, and tell him to leave.

In Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild, Piggy disguises himself as Dog Man. He then steals money from a bank and frames Dog Man for the crime. Dog Man is sentenced to 14 dog years of hard labor at Dog Jail and taunted as a misfit. The Chief, aided by a robot named 80-HD, mounts a rescue. Dog Man and his friends save the city from destruction by a giant clay gyro monster, but Dog Man continues to wonder if he really is a misfit. His friends confide that they sometimes feel they do not fit in, making it clear that Dog Man is perfectly normal. Is Dog Man bad to the bone? The heroic hound is sent to the pound for a crime he didn't commit! While his pals work to prove his innocence, Dog Man struggles to find his place among dogs and people. Being a part of both worlds, will he ever fully fit in with one? In Dog Man: Mothering Heights they tease Dog Man for having a Cone on his head by saying Cone Head multiple times. Dog Man then presses a button on his Cone, transforming him into his Mecha-Suit. The officers pee their pants, and also run and hide behind a plant, until Dog Man turns off his Mecha-Suit and goes into Chief's Office.The next morning, Dog Man is accused of stealing more than a million dollars from a bank. The evidence is overwhelming, including a photo of him caught in the act, and our favourite dog-headed cop is arrested. But is he really guilty? And if not, how could he have been framed? In all of the books, Dog Man routinely defeats super-powered criminals when the rest of the police have no plan, but is also usually criticised for behaving like a dog, despite the fact that his doggy characteristics are what tend to save the day. Great fun in a full-colour comic format with lots of guaranteed laughs. The mean officers are very rude and disrespectful. This was shown while Chief was crying. They do not care about anyone at all. In Dog Man and Cat Kid, they start yelling at Dog Man because they thought he did something wrong, shortly they are yelled by Chief who tells them to leave him alone, because everyone makes mistakes. There are worse bad guys than Petey out there plotting crimes: Piggy, Crunky, and Bub, the size of insects after their defeat in Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas, use a shrink ray gun to miniaturize an abandoned robot of Petey's. They're up to no good, but what exactly are they planning? The next morning chaos reigns when Dog Man is accused of stealing more than a million dollars from a bank. The evidence is overwhelming, including a photo of him caught in the act, and the dog-headed cop is arrested. The judge hands down a fourteen-year jail sentence, and a prison van takes Dog Man away. What hope remains for our hero? Did he actually rob the bank?

In Dog Man: Unleashed First, Chief opens the Supa Brain Dots. He asks who got him these, and the Mean Officers said they did because Chief was Very forgetful. Chief yells at the cops, and they apologize. Afterwards, Chief asks who got him the dots again, making the cops zong off the panel in dumbfoundment. Then in Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties, Dog Man is bugged by them. Fortunately, Dog Man’s friends Sarah Hatoff, Yolay Caprese, Li'L Petey, and 80-HD are working on proving Dog Man is innocent, but not before he gets sent to Dog Jail with a lot of hardened criminals who make fun of him for being neither dog nor human. In Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild, they start teasing Dog Man about how bad of a cop he was, because they thought he robbed a bank, but it was actually The F.L.E.A.S. disguised as Dog Man their robot suit from the previous book Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas. They also taunt him about how he will never be a real man because he's too much of a dog. They start laughing as they walk away.

The male is bald with a nose that looks like Mr. Krupp's. He is taller than Maude, who has dark, curly hair, with a round-like nose.

The FLEAS ( Piggy, Crunky, and Bub) are walking on the sidewalk, searching for the shrink ray that made them small. They soon find it, and walk over to Petey's robot from book 5. The FLEAS shrink the robot, and Piggy climbs on evilly. The next morning, Li'l Petey, 80-HD, and Dog Man find 1 million dollars and 91 cents in their house. At first they think it's the tooth fairy, but they soon realized that none of them have lost a tooth, and decide to bring the money to the cops. Meanwhile, Sarah Hatoff reports that a bank was robbed last night, and the Mean Officers say they know who did it. At the same time, Li'l Petey comes in with the robbed money, and the cops arrest Dog Man with so-called "evidence". Li'l Petey and Sarah know he is innocent, but they have to find another way. Ever since #3, I've felt like Petey's character development always gets undone at the start of the next book. I was really pleased to see that not only was he grappling with keeping up the good behavior in this book, he did not let his darker impulses win (aside from yelling at Big Jim, which, okay, he could have handled that better, but Big Jim hugged him without asking and that's not okay either). Very excited for For Whom the Ball Rolls! In the sixth of the phenomenally successful Dog Man series, three rather naughty characters use a shrink ray gun to miniaturise an abandoned robot belonging to evil genius and Dog Man nemesis, Petey the cat. In Dog Man: Fetch-22, the male officer arrests Grampa and the Fair Fairy, alongside Milly. They don't bother Dog Man in this book.
