I have been a vegetarian for many years noe, but have recently become dairy free due to health problems but do like to bake and looking at recipes that have included Swerve and hadn’t heard of this before. Oligosaccharides add to Swerve’s sweet taste, and as they are prebiotic fiber, they may provide some benefits for our gut bacteria too. Note: The nutritional information above is for the vanilla buttercream frosting using 1 cup Swerve confectioners. I always think of peanut butter cookies being soft and chewy, so I was still on a mission to find a way to do this.

Most stevia blends are not actually a 1:1 substitute with sugar-they're either way sweeter-or actually blended with sugar. The taste might be slightly different though, so experimenting a little might help with your personal preference. People using erythritol as their sweetener of choice have been shown to exhibit stable blood sugar levels when using it. Natural sugarsweeteners– Granulated natural sugar-based sweeteners (like coconut sugar) can be used 1:1 like sugar, so they require no conversion. When using it 1 to 1 as a sugar substitute my cake and ice cream are way too sweet and I like sweet! Instead of a mix of almond and pecan flour, these cookies are made with almond flour and pecan cookie pieces.The buttery flavor of the tart crust and Swerve sweetened chocolate filling is the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The only downside to baking with Swerve is that with some recipes you may experience what is known as the cooling effect. I don’t know about you but for me, it’s hard to think about the holidays without thinking about pecan pie. You can either use the powdered, which is the same as the confectioners Swerve,or the classic white.
