As far as iPhone screens go, I think that the iPhones, at least from the 3G onward, use glass screens with fingerprint-resistant coating. PolyWatch would probably only mess that up, so I'd recommend against it.

Then it was just a case of some firm polishing over the surface following the angle of the bevelled edge until the scratches went. T cut followed by polywatch. You can use quite agressive tactics to get scrtaches out of acrylic crystals; I`ve used 1200 grip wet and dry followed by chrome cleaner, T cut and finally polywatch. Problem is that you get it perfect after spending 30mins on it, then get it scratched again next day :( .
