The biggest upgrade on the Corsair HS55 Wireless is in its sonic performance. While it does share a lot of similarities with the HS55 Wireless Core – they both tend to compress a little once the volume is over 50, it also corrects some of its predecessor’s flaws. The range is impressive. You can walk up to 15 meters away, which means you won’t need to take your headset off when you walk into a nearby room and miss out on what your party is saying. Walls can still be an issue, so moving much more than one room away caused it to break up a bit — but you have more freedom to move, which is nice. And as for comfort the clamping pressure of this headphone is bit high but you will get used to it. If troubleshooting sound problems doesn’t work, try uninstalling and re-installing the Corsair audio device drivers and iCUE:

There are bountiful reasons as to why a wireless gaming headset is a good decision. The most obvious being the freedom to get up and walk away from your desk at any time without dragging your PC tower off with you. A wired headset is hardly a hassle, but I'll admit it is nice to not have to keep taking my headset on and off every time I run off for a bathroom break or to grab a coffee between raid encounters. I've been testing a wired headset for the past few weeks, and so the Corsair's wire-free functionality has been a bit of a blessing. I'm really impressed with just how clear the HS55's microphone is: the subtle tones and nuance of my voice's luscious timbre (in my opinion) come through accurately in testing, which you can listen to below.
