It is capable of supporting up to an impressive 25 kg of gear, for use with heavy cameras including medium and large format. The hollow designed arca-swiss style quick-release plate can easily be removed, while a safety lock prevents the plate from sliding too far. The top knob, the one that releases the system so that the gear moves up or down was ridiculously tight out of the box. They are easy to grip and allow you to rotate your lens around its centre of gravity enabling easy manipulation of very large lenses up to 600mm.
The GH2N features a reinforced rib and hollow structure, designed to optimise both weight and strength, its also compact enough for easy portability. Long lenses can be mounted directly to the Arca-Swiss style mount pivot when the detachable arm is removed.
