About this deal

Margaret martin said: “Just as good as Liz Earle which I have been using for years on my very sensitive skin at a fraction of the cost.” It’s incredibly moisturising. Apparently studies found that by using the Lacura Caviar Illumination day cream, the skin increases hydration after four hours of up to 58%, resulting in improved elasticity and smoother skin – which is the dream, right?! It’s what’s inside that counts though right? Ok smell. I’ve sniffed these pots a billion times. They aren’t quite the same, but they also kind of are. I know that’s a rubbish description (ha!). but the biggest difference is that the Lacura one smells stronger. Arguably the best day cream in the world, the caviar cream contains caviar extract which is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals that pep up the skin and a super-powerful anti-ageing active ingredient.

Aldi’s Lacura skincare range is developed in Germany and are dermatologically tested. They are not tested on animals. The Claims It’s the silicones within the primer which give the pore-blurring effect, and it’s rare to find a primer which does offer blurring benefits without having that same slimey texture. This rose oil is so amazingly lovely on the skin and it also soaks in well without leaving an oily complexion. This is definitely going to be in my long term beauty regime. The primer is extremely obvious that it is trying to copy the Smashbox Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Primer, which was one of the first ‘pore-blurring’ primers within the beauty community, and now every beauty brand has tried to create their own to emulate the success.

It’s particularly good because the Lacura range is Leaping Bunny certified which means that they have not been tested on animals (unlike some of the make-up and beauty products the items are based on!). I have been using the day and night creams for 5 weeks now. The smell of both the Day and Night Cream is pleasant. However, I can’t honestly say they have reduced my fine lines at this point in time and have no raised expectations. Aldi joked: “Get your skin looking picture perfect with this Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer. Whether you're using this alone or under make-up, your selfies will never be the same again.” More than 100 shoppers have rated the Aldi primer five stars, saying it’s like ‘face magic’. This is my favourite night cream ever and I tried lots of different brands before including Estee Lauder. I found Lacura Q10 night best of all, it melts into my skin and moisturises really well. I like it has got retinol – the only REAL anti ageing ingredient available without prescription from a dermatologist. Not many creams have retinol in them and if they do, they cost a fortune. Love it, love it, love it.’ As a result, I like to think I can spot a bargain in the beauty world, and the middle aisle of your local Aldi is a brilliant place to start making swaps.

Lacura Naturals Eye Shadow Palette:

This cheap-a-chips silky-smooth primer effortlessly blurs the appearance of fine lines for a photo-ready finish. Lacura has taken the beauty world by storm thanks to its many affordable and impressive dupes of high end, luxurious products. Have been using this for a long time, and always bulk buy. Having used Elemis, Clinique and Clarins in the past, I can honestly say this is a great alternative and it can compete with the big boys! I love a face wipe (I get a lot of jip from people about it) and the Aldi Lacura face wipes are my wipes of choice. They’re based on the Simple sensitive skin cleansing facial wipes.

Some people do find that if they have sensitive skin, the Caviar Illumination Day Cream can irritate them.

About Rachael

I can’t believe how amazing this product is. I’ve had eczema for 30 Years on my hands and it gone, thanks to this product. My brother’s hands are the same and he’s raving about it too! Both primers are silica based primers with a clear gel-like texture. I’ve long been a fan of Benefit’s Porefessional for this same silky formula. I applied the Smashbox primer to the right side of my face and took notice of how well it glided on to the skin to blur imperfections and the appearance of blemishes. A small amount of product spreads well and feels immediately soft to touch. Get your skin looking picture perfect with this Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer. Whether you’re using this alone or under make-up, your selfies will never be the same again. Contains vitamin A and E, grapeseed extract and green tea for a nourishing and delicate foundation treatment.“ I don’t know if you can see a difference in the photo above, but I don’t notice very much blurring when using this primer.
