About this deal

When using Lip Comfort Oil 04 Pitaya, you will experience how the gentle and pleasant texture glides easily on your lips, leaving them silky smooth and supple. This lip oil is enriched with pitaya extract, which adds a natural glow and vitality to your lips. The Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil has a sleeker, shorter new name for 2022. It’s now simply: Clarins Lip Comfort Oil.

Lip Comfort Oil can also be used as an overnight treatment for perfectly rejuvenated lips that look and feel more beautiful and softer in the morning. Available in 8 sheer shades—including 5 pH-reactive shades (03 cherry, 04 pitaya, 05 apricot, 08 strawberry & 10 plum) for a completely customised lip shade, which reacts to your pH and for a natural, lip-stain effect. For extra conditioning care, Raspberry shade (01) can be used as an overnight sleep mask. But if you’re a true fan, I’m sure you’ll want to know exactly what’s improved with Clarins’ Lip Oils. I’ve created this edit to answer that question. Keep reading to find out what’s different about the new Clarins Lip Oil collection… 1. The NameMint: There isn’t anything quite like the previous 06, but if you liked opting for a shade that stood out from the rest, I recommend the good-enough-to-eat brown shade, 09 – Chocolate. Enriched with 98% skincare ingredients, this conditioning formula delivers sheer color and mirror-like shine to your lips. Its melting texture glides smoothly with a luxurious yet lightweight feel and cushioned effect for long-lasting comfort. Did you know that one Clarins Lip Oil is sold every minute worldwide? With stats like that, it’s fair to say that the Lip Comfort Oil has secured its place as a makeup icon. But for loyal fans of this legendary tinted oil, it can feel daunting when you catch wind of a reformulation.

But the most significant thing about the redesign is the new-and-improved cushioning applicator; its large, comfortable surface offers precise yet speedy application as it hugs the lips for a sweep of sheer colour. Honey Glam: This time around, Clarins have decided against using golden glitter particles in their oil, so unfortunately, there isn’t a direct switch for No. 7. However, 01 – Honey has a similar undertone (just without the shimmer). Alternatively, if you loved the more glamorous side of Honey Glam, then go for one of the more statement shades in the mix: 10 – Plum. I saw these Lip Oils disappear within 1-2 hours. After 30 minutes to an hour, I had to reapply to regain the shine. I don’t think this is bad for a lip oil/lip gloss formula, but it’s also not very long-lasting either. However, they lasted longer on me than the Dior Lip Oils, which were gone within 0.2 seconds ( this is a little dramatic as it was actually 30 minutes to an hour top). Alternatives A nourishing lip treatment formulated with a trio of plant oils to comfort lips with visibly plumping, high-shine results and a hint of color. Honey: As you’d guess, the best shade to go for is 01 – Honey. It might look like golden honey in the tube, but it has a clear finish once applied.

The Clarins Lip Oils are formulated with 93% ingredients of natural origin, including a powerful new trio of responsibly harvested, organic natural plant oils: Organic Sweetbriar Rose oil, Cold-pressed Organic Jojoba Oil, and Hazelnut Oil. Red Berry: The old No. 3 was the most red-toned shade available, so the best replacement for this shade is 03 – Cherry, the deepest red in the current line-up. If you want more of a subtle pinky-red shade, opt for 08 – Strawberry instead. The Clarins Lip Oils are supposed to be sheer; you’ll get just a hint of color. As I’m applying the product to my lips, I can tell it leaves a soft hint of color though, which I don’t often have with sheer glosses (most of the time, I only see the shine and not the tint) so that was a nice surprise! And last but not least, the final key difference between the old lips oils and the 2022 update is the shades. We’ve waved goodbye to some Clarins Lip Oil shades, welcomed in some new ones and kept a few of the fan favourites (Honey lovers, rejoice!) Tangerine: The most coral-orange version of Clarins’ current oils is 05 – Apricot, so that’s the best replacement for Tangerine lovers.

A super nourishing lip oil enriched with a trio of plant oils to protect, comfort, and visibly plump lips. Available in 8 sheer shades—including 5 pH-reactive shades (03 cherry, 04 pitaya, 05 apricot, 08 strawberry & 10 plum) for a custom lip-stain effect. Clarins is not considered cruelty-free. Even though Clarins claims to be cruelty-free, they have admitted to testing on animals where required by law. This makes Clarins not cruelty-free. Lip products are my favorite makeup products and I can’t believe it’s been so long since I posted about a lip product. Last year, I shared my Clarins Water Lip Stain review and now that masks are off, I’m all about the shiny lips. With Spring coming, I want to share with you how I get hydrated and shiny lips with the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil. Basics

After writing all about the main differences between the old oils and the new oils, I wanted to reach out to fellow Beauty Team Member, Hannah, to see what she thinks of the latest version. She’s been using the Honey Lip Oil for over four years, so I was keen to find out how it lived up to the original in the eyes of a dedicated fan. Here’s what she had to say… Developed with the same expertise as Clarins' skincare, this intensive lip treatment oil is formulated with 93% ingredients of natural origin to hydrate, comfort and cocoon skin with a sheer kiss of colour and shine. A powerful trio of responsibly harvested, natural plant oils—NEW Organic Sweetbriar Rose oil, Organic Jojoba oil, and Hazelnut oil—helps to plump lips for all day hydration and nutrition. Lips feel continuously protected, comforted, instantly soothed, and more supple, with a more beautiful look, even when bare.*

Clarins’ statement about if they have any vegan products: “My Clarins is free of all animal-derived ingredients like beeswax, carmine, lanolin, etc. Clarins has deliberately chosen to only distribute My Clarins to countries that do not require animal testing.” Where To Buy The scent of the old oils related to their names and shades (think a golden honey scent for the fan-favourite Honey shade or a cleansing herby aroma for the Mint version). But this time around, all of the oils feature the same scent; the fragrance reminds me of candied sweets – delicious! Dior Lip Oils: If you thought about purchasing the Dior Lips Oils, reconsider! They’re not bad, but I would recommend the Clarins Lip Oils over them all day, every day. Developed with the same expertise as Clarins' skincare, our innovative lip treatment oil l is formulated with 93% ingredients of natural origin, to cocoon skin with a sheer kiss of color and shine. A powerful trio of responsibly- harvested, natural plant oils — Organic Sweetbriar Rose oil, Organic Jojoba oil, and Hazelnut oil — helps to comfort lips for all- day hydration and nutrition. Lips feel continuously comforted, instantly soothed, and more supple – providing all the benefits of lip oil disguised as ultra -sassy gloss. The review will analyze the product’s essential features, ingredients, performance, and value for money. It will also compare the product to other lip products (Especially the hyped Dior Lip Oils) to provide a comprehensive overview of Clarins Lip Oils. The Lip Comfort Oil 04 Pitaya from Clarins is an amazing beauty product that will provide your lips with the ultimate care and nourishment. This lip oil is perfect for those who want to achieve soft and well-groomed lips. Fans of the original 01 – Honey and 02 – Raspberry will be glad to hear the namesakes for these shades remain. 03 – Red Berry, 04 – Candy, 05 – Tangerine, 06 – Mint and 07 – Honey Glam have disappeared as we once knew them, and they’ve been replaced by 03 – Cherry, 04 – Pitaya, 05 – Apricot, 08 – Strawberry, 09 – Chocolate and 10 – Plum. The Clarins Lip Oil now has a more streamlined and sophisticated design. Compared to their earlier look, the oils are now round in shape and swap out the initial gold touches for a more elegant silver hue on the applicator handle. Notably, the writing has been removed from the side to allow you to see the oils in all their glory, while Clarins’ name now adorns the top of the tube, just below the applicator handle. If the thought of your beauty favourite being revamped sends you into panic mode (we’ve all been there), I’m here to convince you that there’s no need to worry when it comes to Clarins’ Lip Oil. I’m confident that you’ll love the new-and-improved formulation just as much – if not more than the old version.
