I found myself struggling to get into the story until about halfway through when the characters finally started to get comfortable with one another. Tangled in Tinsel is a modern masterpiece, a powerful novel that can be read on its own. This novel is written by Trilina Pucci. She is a true storyteller, and Tangled in Tinsel is her best book. It is an epic tale of family, secrets, loss, marriage, betrayal, friendships, laughter, and regrets. Tangled in Tinsel is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made readers love them, they made readers sad, they made readers angry, they made readers laugh, they made readers cry, and they made readers believe in the promise of love and home. And it really is a wonderful read! I have a lot of holiday stories in my review list this year and this is the most fun read, I think, of the lot.

I found the early dialogue and interaction was stumbling and awkward but that seemed completely fitting for two guys trying to figure out each other's situation and orientation. The romance feels a bit of a slow build, largely thanks to interlopers and interruptions that keep these guys from making moves time and again, but actually it only takes a few days for Levi and Dean to open up about their attraction and then the romance flows. There's a little rope play but this relationship has no BDSM. This is a cute, low angst Christmas story that was ok but didn’t blow me away. I love the cover and the small town setting but the writing was a bit choppy at first. Overall I think this is a good story if you want a Hallmark like Christmas story. It was an enjoyable read overall. I liked the plot, the reconnecting of two people after many years with attraction between them burning brightly, and a subplot of a famous wood artist and the priceless cradle he made for his secret lover's firstborn child. Although I loved the story, I found myself invested in the characters and I wanted more, leaving me feeling unsatisfied. I could have read a full book on this couple. They captivated me.. Dean is a driven man. After being denied his Ph.D., he finally has the chance the be the man to find an antique cradle that everyone thought was lost in a fire. This find would make his career for the rest of his life. Little did he know that the little village of Tinsel was going to offer him something even better. Levi is content with his lot in life living on his family's farm and growing Christmas trees. He hopes that someday he'll meet "the one" and they'll start a family but he isn't counting on it. Could the man from the city ever be happy settling down with a tree farmer? I love Mariah Dietz and really look forward to anything she has written. When I found out she had a Christmas novella coming out I couldnt wait to dig in.
