Never one to shy away from writing about current affair or events that are happening around us far and wide and this book is no different. I don't know why it's painful though because I'm still stuck back at where they could hardly speak to each other civilly before the entire story jumped ahead.If you love Karin Slaughter, Robert Dugoni and Rachel Caine, you’ll be hooked by this heart-stopping thriller from Patricia Gibney.

I’ve read books who had complete chapters detailing traumatic events and that’s extremely triggering for me. just a few hundred metres from the residence of their prime suspect, shift solicitor Colin Kavanaugh, Fiona's ex-partner and father to her daughter Lily. Thirty-three-year-old Mark is a firefighter and it's an emergency on the very first day his new neighbour moves in.Lottie is her usual frantic self, panicking about the case and her perceived inability to manage both her work and home life. Initially I found it hard to concentrate on as the narrative switches between several characters who have little discernible relevance but many of the links soon become clear and I quickly settled in. With the bodies piling up and Lily still missing Lottie and her team work overtime to solve the case.
