Running with her best friend Jenna, Brecks aka B whilst not paying attention she literally runs smack dab into a hot looking guy, I saw him first, but it didn't matter. that’s what this book truly focuses on and it was truly hard for me to get through because all i wanted to do was close this book and throw it across the room and have a long talk with kandi steiner. I'm going to be really honest: As much as I loved this book,these characters made me wanted my own shot of whiskey! After spending more and more time together they become best friends and develop a strong connection, but there is also an underlying attraction that is hard for them to ignore.
I truly enjoyed having Jamie’s insight into some of the most pivotal parts of the story, and of course the new scenes.This is their story over the years, and how they dealt with their strong connection and attraction while trying to balance on that line of friendship. I could read this book all over again and at this point I don't care about all the heartbreak it would bring me. You will savor Whiskey to the very last drop, and the hangover will be worth every heart-wrenching second. I've read well over the 100 this year so far, and while books touch me and resonate, very few books actually play out my own personal experiences. This is such a powerful love story, but also brutally honest and angsty all in one unapologetic package.
This is my very first Kandi Steiner book (and wont be my last) but very early in I knew this book was special.The story was interesting and I was fully invested in their story even though I savoured it while reading it. I haven't read a story in a long time where I developed such love/hate/fury for characters that made me extremely stabby.
