The Dalmatians begin to make their way home through the help of several dogs. While Perdita leads the puppies, Pongo brings up the rear and keeps count of all the puppies. Cruella learns about their escape and she along with the Baduns go on the hunt for the dogs, forcing the Dalmatians to avoid them by any means necessary. Throughout the adventure, different sides of Pongo's personality were showcased. He was shown to be intelligent, tactical, and stealthy. With his wits, he was easily able to outsmart the cunning Cruella, and her bumbling henchman, almost flawlessly, and with these assets, Pongo and his family were able to return home safely.

In the live-action remake of 101 Dalmatians, Roger's last name is changed to "Dearly" (which was his last name in the original book), and he is the human protagonist. Here, he is an American citizen, but he lives in a British flat with Pongo. Instead of a musician, he is a video game designer and tests how good the game is through his greatest friend/boss's son Herbert.Roger made a small cameo appearance as a New York citizen at the beginning of the 1988 Disney animated movie, Oliver & Company. He and Anita also made a few appearances in the animated series House of Mouse, in crowd shots.
Pongo makes a cameo in Oliver & Company. He is seen trying to break free from Roger Radcliffe to join Dodger in the song " Why Should I Worry", which he manages to do in the end. Cruella has made a handful of appearances in a variety of video games.
