Waterproof pipe repair tape is the first tool you should consider when it comes to fixing a leaking soil pipe. Whilst there are a number of waterproof repair tapes on the market, the best type for pipe repair are those made from self-fusing silicone. Once all tape has been applied, use both hands to squeeze over the area firmly and rotate your hand in the direction of the wrap to tighten the layers. Repairs can be made in under 30 minutes to pipes of any size made from copper, PVC plastics, steel, stainless steel, malleable iron, GRP, ceramic, clay, concrete, lead, and rubber.
