About this deal

Much like the original Kroma-A, the Innokin Kroma-Z has an internal battery, but this time they’ve increased it to 3000mAh. I am always the first to sigh at the repetitiveness, however, Innokin has put its own Innokin style twist with the design – and that I do approve of. The Innokin Sensis Mod – Battery Section So the first thing I did was sent Innokin description over to my electrician dad and he approved by saying it does make a lot of sense in regards to electrics. The Innokin Sensis is a highly innovative creation that is sure to catch a lot of heads. It produces quality clouds and vapor thanks to its advanced features, and its coils and airflow can accommodate a wide range of vaping styles.

As far as is known, this is the first vape out there that uses auto-priming. One thing to worry about when it comes to buying something with a brand new feature is teething problems. This time the pod has a flip open top fill port – replacing the awkward bottom fill port of the original. It feels proper, it works very well, and it looks just great, nothing to complain about this device to be honest. The 3000mAh battery is amazing and being able to get almost 600 puffs on an MTL coil before having to charge is impressive. Holding up and down brings you into a menu where you can adjust screen on-time (5 to 180s) and Cutoff time (3 to 18s).We had the chance to play around with these settings on the prototype.I have to admit I was pretty confused at first as there were no instructions so you had to play around with them.As details became available, it all started to make more ‘sensis’. The 4.5ml capacity pod sits nice and firmly in the device and holds on tight thanks to the 2 large magnets near the front of the base. A cleverly done fire button which in effect is part of the display panel and which you can fire from anywhere from the top of the display, to the top of the panel meaning there is quite a large area which will fire the device. In fact its quite lightweight but certainly feels well constructed and very comfortable to hold as either a thumb, or finger firer. Battery life was exceptional, lasting days rather than hours due to its 3000mAh battery.Charging time was relative to the capacity and took over an hour from low.

But in it’s basic form, for a 40w mod 3,000mAh is plenty. It lasted me all day everyday when using it at 35W.This coil is recommended at 9-12W and I know it wouldn’t do to good with High VG so I went straight onto the Got Salt Peachy Promise (50vg/50pg, nic salt).

The Innokin Sensis starter kit has a lot of exciting bits and pieces. The kit comes with the mod and the pod, and it comes with the two coils mentioned earlier. When using this device as an MTL, even at 20 watts you can happily get over 2 days battery life from this kit. I actually quite like this coil at 20W MTL with the airflow fully open, it proves a nice smooth drag with ample flavour.

Again quite typically, the Innokin Sensis pod fills up from the bottom, with a rubber/silicon plug. I think screen interfaces often get overlooked when people look at devices, but they are important. One thing about the Scepter coils to mention is that the 0.25 ohm coil is an upgrade. It can generate more power, allowing it to handle high wattages while supporting RDL draws. This is very impressive when considering that most coils with resistances this low are for DTL vaping. Otherwise this is the same as the original with the same “ Fourth Generation Vaping Technology”– i.e. Coil + (priming the coil before each vape), Refresh (refresh the coil to help extend coil life) and F0 (alternating current with changeable frequencies).
