About this deal

There is a cave that is home to a creature: a creature that never leaves its cave… Because of the wolf. The wolf tries everything to tempt the little creature out of the cave, all to no avail. Until, that is, the creature fancies eating the tastiest doughnut, with sprinkles on top, that the wolf offers. But what happens when the creature finally leaves its cave? Saramago parallels the chained bodies found at the bottom of the cave under the Center and the clay figurines made by Cipriano and his daughter. But unlike corpses which represent us chained to the wall of the bottom of a cave, the puppets symbolize a new man. Free in this sense, they took out the oven, an image of the cave, exposed outside, and the rain processed the sludge and the sun dust, returning to their natural origin in an endless cycle of creation.
