About this deal

Again I love the fact that JW is tackling sensitive issues that young children may be facing themselves, and again, in this book, she hits on the subject of a parent getting a new partner and then the child having to deal with things no longer being the same. This book shows the purpose of how another character would feel if they would of been hurt or disobeyed, however Lizzie is trying to get her mums attention to her and try to tell her that she might not fit on their family very well. The other Jacqueline Wilson books still seem a bit grown up for her yet but she enjoyed this as Lizzie loved all grandmas dolls ! All about learning how to adapt to a new situation and family setting, we see Lizzie grow comfortable and happier especially when she's allowed to express herself properly too with someone who understands and accepts her interests, it was serious, dealing with important topics effecting people everyday in life. The sentences are really good there were short sentences complex sentences and all sorts of different sentences.

As well as winning many awards for her books, including the Children's Book of the Year, Jacqueline is a former Children's Laureate, and in 2008 she was appointed a Dame.Then one day a member of her new family turns out to be even more stubborn than Lizzie, and things begin to change. Illustrations throughout the book are helpful to emphasize main points in the story and for younger children reading it who may struggle with harder words. The descriptions of the dolls are a very good feature in this though I do wish some more story telling could have been done between Lizzie and great gran. That is, until she meets Great-Gran, who is even more stubborn than her - and has had a lot more practice!

Lizzie Zipmouth follows Lizzie, who has sworn she won’t speak to anyone now that she has to move in with her mum’s new boyfriend Sam, and his two sons Rory and Jake. Jacqueline Wilson wrote her first novel when she was nine years old, and she has been writing ever since.One of Jacqueline’s most successful and enduring creations has been the famous Tracy Beaker, who first appeared in 1991 in The Story of Tracy Beaker. In 2002 Jacqueline was awarded the OBE for services to literacy in schools and from 2005 to 2007 she was the Children’s Laureate. This book has been written well and is not too long either, I would say that it is the right length for the story. Lizzie Zipmouth', as well as a story about self-confidence, is about helping others, and it teaches children not to quickly judge people. Jacqueline Wilson has a way of writing that is comfortable and encouraging, whilst addressing needs that children are facing as they grow up.

I thought that Lizzie finding solice in her new great-grandmother and playing with her collectors dolls was a sweet addition to the book. Nick Sharratt has created illustrations for over two hundred and fifty books during his illustrious career.

And then the grab has a stroke and she has to learn to talk and walk again and Lizzy helps her get better and its great and you guys should get this book! The only thing I would have liked to have seen more of is helping Great Gran ‘find her voice again’ as this is only covered in a few lines. Her insightful and emotionally challenging books not only stretch reading ability, but give young readers a glimpse into many kinds of lives.

The story continues with Lizzie's friendship with her great-gran blossoming through their shared love for dolls, up to the point where she feels able to talk properly again to all her new family and her mum.
