I read this book in two days and with work, life and the pursuit of writing my own book should tell you that it really kept my attention. As a love interest type of character, Lare got one of my most favorite personality. She is calm and elegant. Such people are usually scary when they finally get mad. I read a bunch of lesbian romance novels this year. Most of them very early in the year, in like January-February. This one, however, I think I read just last month. But it is an entertaining film that manages to do more than many distributed films.

This book had its fair share of suspense, drama, and swoon worthy moments without reading like the cliché paranormal vampire novel. Not that I have read all that many, it was not overdone; just enough for you to know that a vampire was in the storyline. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves a good and well developed story that moves over time as in years and months instead of days and weeks. Well done Ms. Snyder! Once I began to read, I found that this is rather more than just a vampire tale. It's actually a story about loss, the ability to love more than once in our lives, and the joy of rediscovery. Add in evil intent and obsession... and you have a little gem! Sebastian continued to watch over her and found it difficult to stay away from her. When they eventually met , which for Jane was the first time, she felt like she knew him but she had no recollections of ever meeting him. The connection between them was very strong and impossible to deny. Matt's interference and jealousy made their lives very difficult. The plot is good enough that I had an idea of where it was going but there were still some nice twists in there and not too much drama especially with Elizabeth which as a guy reading what would be classified as a romance book was very much appreciated. Seth opened the door to the living room and frowned at the sight in front of him, Marcus had April pinned to the wall, Nixon was trying to pull him off her and Celina was just standing there looking as confused as he was. But, he concealed a hidden side of his personality, a dark secret tied to a hunger for blood and the overriding need to kill. As one of the most prolific serial killers in American history, Crutchley committed at least twelve murders, and possibly nearly three dozen. His IQ elipsed that of Ted Bundy, and his body count may have as well. While he stalked the streets hunting his unsuspecting victims, the residents of a quiet Florida town slept soundly, oblivious to the dark creature in their midst, unaware of the vampire next door.

There was a dark side to JB’s personality that he kept behind closed doors. He enjoyed bondage, choking and hungered for blood. Women went missing in areas that JB lived. He was accused of at least twelve murders, but authorities believe there were many more. Besides this tiny thing, I loved all of it. I highly recommend you to read Vampire Next Door. It's a great novel with lovely and surprising characters. I read it fast and was happy with the ending. I just love Jessie. She made me laugh quite a few times with her internal thoughts. When she talked about how hot Bran is, I laughed because that's totally me with hot men all the time. Jessie starts to find her voice in this book and you can feel the build up of her coming into her own. It starts with an interpreted lift from Nosferatu - specifically the words from the Book of the Vampires regarding the source of vampirism being the seed of Belial. We then get a voice over from Evelyn (Kaylee Thompson), who speaks of what a lifetime is and of her hunting the night (where her victims tend to consist of the homeless or low-lives). She is walking along the road when a car pulls over and John (Myles Gaia) offers her a ride. As he drives, he discovers they live on the same road.Sebastian Alexander is looking for "Jane Doe" and will stop at nothing to find her. The local newscasters posted a photo of Jane and Sebastian was relieved that she was alive. Sebastian finds the hospital she's at and sees just how bad shape she's in. Sebastian bites his wrist and makes her drink his blood. It had to be something bad for Marcus to lose his cool, unless he was hungry again. April looked at Seth with pleading eyes, and he walked over to them slowly.

So in conclusion, cute-ish book, but would have preferred that the prejudice and hate have been dealt with better, as well as getting to know Lare the love interest better. The side characters, Courtney’s friend Azzure, girlfriend Mia and SANG leader Dru were somewhat cardboardy in their roles, but they fit the story, which was more of a developing relationship between Courtney and Lare than it was a true mystery or vampire story. The cover drew me to this book and I like a good vampire book so that was two things going for it. I found out that the author is a PA girl so that was a trifecta. The Vampire Next Door is a roleplaying game for 3-7 players, intended for single-session or short form play. It's an homage to classic shows like Scooby Doo, Mona the Vampire, and Gravity Falls, where it's down to the kids to be smarter than the adults and save the day. Not only does this game rest on a wonderful central concept, it's tied together with neat and intuitive mechanics, and genuinely fun writing and visual design which immerse you in impeccable 2000s vibes. Paige looked over at him and rolled her eyes; she couldn’t help but laugh at him. The bed they were lying on was huge, but he somehow managed to spread himself over it so much that she was lying on the edge.

Nevertheless, the relationship between Jane Doe & Dr. Walker grows, they get married and it appears a happily ever after is on the horizon until tragedy strikes again. Dr. Walker is mugged and killed on or around their anniversary. As Jane is slowly recovering from her loss, the mysterious Sebastian moves into the house next door. She feels a pull in his direction however; she is being dragging in another direction by her deceased husband’s twin brother. Now, I just thought that was a bit creepy and fortunately for me, I wasn’t the only one because the thought never quite sat right with Jane.

I pay attention to spelling and gramatical errors while I'm reading (although I may have a few myself) and I found only one in this book. (Not saying there aren't more). That's almost unheard of, even with nationaly published authors. The Vampire Next Door: True Story of the Vampire Rapist and Serial Killer by J.T. Hunter is a true crime story of a serial killer who was terrifying in his ability to hide his depravity.He is vicious. Delights in seeing terror and suffering in his victims. He was a thief and, even with a top secret clearance, he dealt drugs, because he could. He loved the thrill of getting away with it. Definitely shows his personality.
