About this deal

There's no harm in trying, but it would be easier if virgin came out and did it, they'll be able to measure the signal and ajusr it in the cab properly although they'll wanting a fee for there services. Please connect them as shown in the diagram below paying close attention to the colours on the cables. We were only connected up last year, but I guess the original - Nynex probably- fittings are still in use - just the splitter and second cable box coax are new. My splitter is beside the router, so I have a coax going from the splitter to each V6 box and a cat5e cable going from the router to each V6 box.

if I remove it and just plug the new isolator cable in, there'll be no impact on performance or anything? I'd tend to suggest accessing uhd Netflix content via the TV's own app rather than via the V6 though. I'll probably have to give it a go and see what happens, otherwise phone Virgin up (perhaps they can provide tne a different splitter and alter the signal strength) - I definitely need to move one of the boxes to another room anyway, so a reroute is required there. The previous owners have left quite the mess of cables in the living room and I'm a total newbie when it comes to this stuff.Attach both the input cable and the output cables into the splitter, which is straightforward to do using the cables’ threaded F connectors.
