These two notes are surrounded by a beautiful light balsamic note reminiscent of blossom honey, which gives the base flattering attributes and allows the fragrance to fade away wonderfully.

Overall, the presentation for Costume National Homme Parfum is minimalistic but very well done. Performance In my view, this will be a great choice for people who are in their mid-late 20s and above who are a bit more settled in life. There’s a high probability that the person who likes this will have an interest in art, literature, film, music, etc. They probably go to art galleries and concerts, read books, and keep their finger on the pulse of world events.Homme EDP: “A fresh, citrusy, woody scent that gets you going! My friends loves it, and even my wife can't resist sneaking a spray or two " - Fabrizio Yesterday though I sampled this for the first time. Man, was I surprised! I really liked it, rom the fresh citrussy opening to the heartnotes where you are greeted by cloves and cinnamon. The cloves are clearly present but it's not as if you're dipped into a jar of cloves. They blend really well with the cinnamon actually. It's a very warm, spicy scent. The only thing I had some mixed feelings about was the base that revealed itself after 5 or 6 hours. While I’m not a big fan of cardamom in food other than as an accent note (it always makes my tongue dry out), I absolutely love the smell of cardamom. This has one of the most realistic and zingy cardamom notes I’ve encountered so far, and so I was in love from first spray. Soon, a massive wave of red-hot cinnamon rolls in, accompanied by a brace of earthy vetiver and patchouli. As the fragrance dries down, a distinct note of creamy sandalwood begins to emerge, adding a lush, smooth texture to the fragrance and rounding out the harsh edges. There’s also an irissy tone almost reminiscent of the drydown of Dior Homme Parfum, though it’s faint, only serving to give the fragrance a lustrous lacquer. In a few words, Costume National Homme Parfum is: rich, smooth, spicy, creamy, woody, dark green, exotic, and festive.

I have nevertheless read all of the comments on this fragrance from the Lead Speakers with pleasure and am looking forward to a discussion below the comment :)

Cyber Garden EDP: a fresh, enveloping scent inspired by a futuristic garden where rare and unusual notes create a vibrant balance. The bottle is vaguely rectangular, widening out more at the base. It’s also kind of indented (I don’t know if that’s the technical term for it), sloping in and down. All of the Costume National bottles are like this; I’ll attach some photos so you get an idea of what I mean. The bottle feels very nice in the hand and is obviously high quality. Costume National Homme Parfum alongside other Costume National bottles. EDP: "This fragrance is so pure and candid! The most successful of these, for me, was Scent Intense. It is one of my favorite floral amber fragrances. Sadly Laurent Bruyere passed away in 2008 and since then only two scents have been released by Costume National: 21 in 2008, and at the end of 2009 the first male-marketed fragrance from the House, Costume National Homme. The bottle color is deep, dark green, not quite “bottle green” because of a yellowish, ambery tint to it. The color matches perfectly with the scent of the fragrance and looks beautiful, especially when you pass light through it. It's longevity is amazing, I applied it to my wrist at around 6 PM, even washed my hands a few times with water, but when I took a shower this morning at around 11:30 AM, I could still smell it on my wrist. Usually my skin tends to eat fragrances a little bit, but I was really impressed.Costume National Homme Parfum is a spice bomb of epic proportions. I will caution you: if you don’t like spicy fragrances, STAY AWAY. When I first read about this perfume I really wanted to try it. Soon after that I tried Zirh's Ikon, which I liked except for one note. It gave it a strange vibe, making it unwearable to me. Somehow I thought it may have been the cloves, which scared me a bit to try this fragrance. One is that this is a very high quality, high performance, designer fragrance with a niche character.

Homme is a wonderful companion for the spring, autumn and winter months for the slightly younger, or slightly young-at-heart gentleman looking for an aromatic, flattering fragrance that stands out a little from the crowd. First on the list would be the original Costume National Homme EDP. It’s still readily available, but usually goes for at or around the same price as the parfum on online discounters. So unless you really love the original (and some do indeed prefer it to the parfum) , I personally would opt for the parfum instead. I think that it could be unisex, but it errs much more on the masculine side of the spectrum if you ask me. Still, ladies, by all means, take this one out for a spin and see if it works for you. When To Wear It

If you didn't like the original but like the idea of the original, give this a try. You just might fall in love. Homme’s spice notes never fade away but as the fragrance dries down, the scents of patchouli, cedar/sandalwood and leather-lite become apparent. The extreme dry-down of Homme smells of soft, plush, and lightly spiced amber. The original was similarly spicy, but absolutely dominated by cloves. Cloves and I have a difficult relationship; I do enjoy some fragrances with cloves in them, such as Portrait of a Lady and Musc Ravageur, both by Frederic Malle, but on the whole I really don’t particularly enjoy cloves, either in fragrance or in food. The original also had a funky, herbal thyme note which clashed with the other notes in an unappealing manner, in my opinion. Pop Collection EDP: Pink Grapefruit and Jasmine mingle with woody notes of Patchouli and Cashmeran, in an elegant minimalist fragrance that balances simplicity and originality. That means this one here is an absolute bomb. DISCRETION IS ADVISED. I would recommend no more than three sprays for this fragrance, and that only if you’re going to be outdoors. For normal use, I limit myself to two sprays, and if I wear this to work, a single spray. It’s that strong.
