Amanita muscaria and Amanita caesarea, for example, are easily recognizable and observing different depictions is brilliant...though there are slight differences, the anatomy in each is correct and perfect. As the title suggests, this is truly a botanical art book featuring various "...mushroom and fungi paintings by European and Japanese naturalists in 18th to 19th century...". If you are looking for something deeply informative and educational, this may be the wrong book for you.
